Temporary exhibition: May - September 2009 A florilegium is a compendium of hand-painted drawings of flowers from a particular garden at a particular moment in time. In contrast to the finished and immaculate paintings, the concept for this project focused on the unfinished nature of such a project as plants are always in a process of change, as are the gardens in which they grow. In reflection of this, the walls were left just unfinished - the stud construction was visible, but painted, into which quotations were applied. |
